Dance (ages 4-6, 7-10, and 11+)
LHAS Dance introduces young dancers to the joy of movement through an exciting blend of dance styles—including jazz, ballet, hip hop, and creative movement. This high-energy class focuses on rhythm, coordination, and self-expression while building confidence and body awareness. Dancers will explore a variety of fun techniques in a playful, encouraging environment, all set to age-appropriate music that inspires imagination and creativity.

Art Made Merry (ages 7-10 and 11-14)
Let's explore the world of art together in a merry way! In this vibrant art class, children will explore a variety of artistic mediums, including drawing, painting, printmaking, and collage. Throughout the semester students will dive into new materials and techniques, developing their creativity and self-expression through hands-on projects. Kids will gain confidence in their artistic abilities while experimenting with color, texture, and artist study. This class offers a wonderful opportunity for kids to discover different ways of creating and to develop a love for art that is uniquely their own.

Music and Motion (ages 4-7)
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! In Music & Motion, little ones will sing, dance, and move to the rhythms of faith-based songs that celebrate God’s love. This uplifting class blends basic music concepts, simple instruments, and creative movement with engaging Bible themes to help children build a joyful foundation in worship and music. Through playful activities, kids will grow in rhythm, coordination, and confidence—while learning to praise God with their voices, bodies, and hearts. Perfect for young beginners with big energy and a love for Jesus!

Joyful Noise Choir (ages 8+)
Lift your voice in harmony and praise! Joyful Noise is a Christ-centered choir where students ages 8 and up come together to sing contemporary Christian songs in a traditional choral setting. With a focus on vocal technique, musicality, and unity, students will learn to sing in parts, follow choral direction, and develop confidence in their God-given gifts. From heartfelt worship anthems to joyful praise songs, each rehearsal is an opportunity to grow musically and spiritually—offering a meaningful blend of skill-building and ministry. Perfect for young singers who love music and want to use their voices to glorify God!

Theater (ages 5-9 and 10-15)
In this 14-week Christian-based theater class, children will explore the world of drama while deepening their understanding of faith and storytelling. Students will learn essential acting techniques, including voice projection, character development, and stage presence, all within a nurturing environment that encourages creativity and teamwork.
Through games, skits, and interactive exercises, students will build confidence and grow in their ability to communicate, collaborate, and express themselves. The program will culminate in a final showcase performance, allowing young actors to share their talent, faith, and hard work with family and friends. Perfect for beginners and seasoned performers alike, this class is a fun and faith-filled way to experience the art of theater! This semester’s performance opportunities are still TBD.

SMARTS
Culture Quest (ages 9-13)
Embark on an exciting journey around the world in Culture Quest! In this hands-on geography and culture class, students ages 9–13 will explore continents, countries, and cultures through interactive lessons, creative projects, games, crafts, music, and even food. Along the way, they’ll build map skills, discover famous landmarks, and gain a deeper understanding of the diverse people and traditions that make up our world. From passport challenges to cultural celebrations, Culture Quest turns global learning into an unforgettable adventure—helping students grow in curiosity, appreciation, and respect for the world God created.

¡Hablemos! (ages 9+)
¡Vamos a hablar! ¡Hablemos! is a fun and interactive Spanish class focused on building real-life conversational skills for students ages 8 and up. Through engaging activities, games, role-plays, and cultural exploration, students will learn practical vocabulary, everyday phrases, and basic grammar in a relaxed, immersive environment. Whether ordering food, greeting new friends, or asking for directions, students will gain confidence speaking and understanding Spanish while developing a love for language and culture. No prior experience needed—just a willingness to try, speak, and have fun!

Middle School English/ Language Arts (6th -8th grade) ****LHAS’ first comprehensive course****
This English/Language Arts class is comprehensive in its scope and sequence of study. Students will engage in Literature Unit Studies focusing on appropriate age and grade level reading comprehension assessed through verbal, typed, and written response. Instruction will be given in Writing/Composition; students will learn about various writing demands and strategies and will respond through assignments designed to demonstrate students’ understanding. A systematic Grammar study will be used to enhance the overall mastery of English/Language Arts concepts.

This class requires a placement exam before the first class. Within a few days of signing up, you will receive information on available options for this exam.
Please note that although price reflects a semester rate, this class is designed to be a one year course commitment.
Class will meet Mondays in person 10:45 - 12:15 and Thursdays online 11am-12pm.
This class will meet (online only) on LHAS’ off week. This will be Thursday from 11am-12pm on 9/4, 10/2, and 10/30
Students should expect to spend approximately 3-5 additional hours on work outside of class.
Additional literature and materials will need to be purchased.
Students will need access to printers.
Due to the online nature of the Thursday Zoom class, students need a strong internet connection.

Little Learners (ages 4-7)
Introducing the Little House of Arts and Smarts Little Learners class, a specially designed educational experience for children aged 4 to 7. This once-a-week course focuses on fostering whole child development through developmentally appropriate practices, a center-based learning environment, and an emphasis on early literacy skills.
Key Features:
Developmentally Appropriate Practices: Tailored to the unique developmental stages of children within this age range, our program supports individual growth in cognitive, social, emotional, and physical areas. Each activity is crafted to be engaging and suitable for their growing abilities.
Center-Based Learning: The program features multiple learning centers, including art, science, math, and literacy. These centers encourage children to explore their interests at their own pace, promoting self-directed learning and discovery within a supportive framework.
Early Reading Skills: We prioritize setting a strong foundation for reading through interactive and engaging activities. Our approach includes both phonics and storytelling sessions that are designed to build foundational reading skills and foster a love for literature.
Course Structure:
The Little Learners Program meets every Monday 9:30 AM to 12 PM. The day is structured to include various thematic learning centers, group activities, and individual exploration times, allowing children to learn at their own pace in a structured yet flexible environment.

Science Lab (ages 8-11 and 11-15)
Note: This class is structured as a 2 semester course (fall and spring). However, students will learn and have tons of fun even if they only complete one semester.
This 24-week course provides an engaging and age-appropriate exploration of the human body for students ages 11–14. Through interactive lessons and weekly hands-on labs, students will investigate how the body is organized and how each system functions to maintain health and homeostasis.
Learners will study major body systems—including skeletal, muscular, circulatory, respiratory, digestive, nervous, immune, and more—building scientific vocabulary and critical thinking skills along the way. The course emphasizes observation, experimentation, and integrated understanding through activities like building models, conducting simple experiments, and analyzing how systems work together.
Designed to meet a range of learning styles, this course balances academic language with accessible instruction. Students will complete creative projects, apply health and nutrition concepts to daily life, and develop a foundational appreciation for the complexity and wonder of the human body.

Story Explorers (ages 7-10)
Story Explorers is a playfully, invigorating, ensemble writing class that uses storytelling, rhyming, games, and various fun activities to foster creative writing skills in students ages 7-10. Students will work together to write short stories, jokes, rhymes, and skits all while learning more about spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure. They will be encouraged to incorporate figurative and descriptive language, characterization, and other narrative techniques, to make their writing come to life. There will be a small, in class presentation at the end of the year to give the students an opportunity to read their selected works.

Study Hall (ages 7+)
This structured study hall provides a quiet, focused environment where students can work independently on assignments, reading, or creative projects. Designed for students ages 7-14, each session lasts up to 2.5 hours, offering flexibility for families.
Students will be expected to work quietly for 20-minute intervals, followed by a five-minute break to recharge before resuming their tasks. This study hall is an ideal space for productivity, whether students need dedicated time for schoolwork, personal learning, or simply a place to focus while a sibling attends another class.
Session Options:
Mon: 9:30am-12:00pm or 12:30pm-3:00pm
Tues: 9:30am-12:00pm or 12:30-3:00pm
Enrollment Options: 1 session per week: $100/semester
Drop in rate (subject to space available): $12/session, paid in cash or check the day of.
Note: There is no study hall from 12:00-12:30. Students should be picked up from all classes during this time.
